The earphones are cheap but that seems to make sense to me. Many of my initial complaints of the device were resolved by either getting to know the device more, or by the latest firmware. Overall Review: Most of my complaints would not be a problem for me if I just listened to music. I can't add files to the device unless I'm at home or carry the cable with me everywhere. I don't understand why they couldn't just use a standard mini USB connection. Might not be a problem for most since you could then play MP3s off your computer, but for me, I listen at work and can't play mp3s off the PC, so I can't charge it and listen at the same time. If I was in the middle of a track and happen to pop the card out and back in, it refreshes and I lose my spot.Ĭan't play while it is connected to the computer.

This problem is worse for me because I download talk radio shows. This occurs even if you don't add any new files, but just connected it to charge the player. With about 8GB of audio it takes up to 3 minutes to refresh. Many customizable settings, music options, etc.Ĭons: Refreshes the entire database every time you disconnect it from your computer or reinsert the card. Dropped it on concrete with no ill effects.įM Radio works well. Helpful for long tracks such as audio books.įeels durable. Maybe this is due to the latest firmware, but I don't have that problem. I read reviews that you can't rewind from the beginning of one track to the end of the previous track. This means you can copy to or browse multiple folders at the same time. Latest firmware (03.01.16A) puts MSC back as a USB Mode option, so it appears as a storage device on your computer, instead of a Sansa device. Pros: Library combines both built in storage and SD card for easy navigation. Nothing serious, but I use it everyday so it's seen its use. It's had over a year of heavy travel and use, and is begging to flake. otherwise it may descide to charge itself instead of connecting. You realy need to turn it on before connecting to a computer if you want it to synk.
Overall Review: Don't use the radio function much, since I don't have reception at my desk. I've cleared it on occasion on the treadmill trying to skip to a particular song at the bottom of the list. The "Clear go list" oiption realy needs a confirm prompt. Sometimes it takes a while to switch track, especially when you skip a bunch in a row. You cant delete songs off the player without a computer. There are some accessories for it on the market.Ĭons: It's not perfect, but then what is?

A built in playlist you can clear it instantly and then add songs back onto. Interface: multiple ways to search for tracks: by artist, album, title. The expansion slot: add another 2 gigs for about $10. It's size, its small enough to fit in your pocket but not so small it will get lost easily. Pros: Some of the features that I like about this player are:
#Sansa sandisk mp3 plus
Plus Newegg's fast delivery is why I have spent WAY TOO MUCH $$$$$$$$ with them.
#Sansa sandisk mp3 portable
I run portable apps off of it all the time, firfox, GIMP, portable virus scanner.

Overall Review: This thing doubles as a USB Flash drive, which is FAST! Faster than my LE**R Jump drive, WAY FASTER and twice as big (4gb).

I should have waited a few more weeks for the 8GB, between using it as a Flash drive and for music, i have run out of storage. You gotta get one.Ĭons: Buy better headphones, the stock ones are ok, but dont fit in the ear very well. My brother has an iP*d and he wants one of these, its easier to use, music can be transported in a much more user friendly format (mp3 or wma), one that others can use, it does not discriminate between macs or PC's works equally well on both. Battery life is phenomenal, even better if you turn down the backlight and have it turn off quickly. Pros: This mp3 player kicks the iP*d but up and down the court.
